As reports circulate claiming that rapper Nick Cannon and Singer Mariah Carey might rekindle their relationship after getting a divorce, Cannon recently shared how Carey will "always be the love of my life" at his recent guest appearance on live TV.

"It's one of those things, I'm a hopeless romantic too," Cannon told Meredith Vieira, the host of Meredith Viera Show. "Through this learning process, you never say never. To me one thing I know, that will always be the love of my life, always be my family and that's never going to change."

Rumors on the two rekindling their relationship sparked when Cannon reportedly said "never say never" to some photographers following him when they asked him about him and Carey. The two also never lost touch and even celebrate the holidays together with their twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

The family recently reunited last Easter Sunday where they went out looking for eggs together as a family which they took to their social media. Meanwhile, Cannon also revealed how many news reports say false rumors about him and his former wife Carey.

"It's extremely disappointing when you see that people just want to perpetuate negativity when there is no negativity even involved," Cannon shared adding, "They want to make up stuff and create things. You kind of get to that place where, I've always been the most open and honest person but I understand kind of playing it close to the vest because when you start to feed into it and there are so many false items and people just want to speculate then you don't want to say anything at all."

Cannon also shared how he is learning from his ex-wife about facing the media. "That's one thing I actually admire Mariah because she is professional," he said adding, "You ain't going to get nothing out of her. I was like you know what, I'm learning. I'm learning."
