'NHL 17' Release Date News: Game Kicks Off Official Beta Registration; Lead Producer Discusses Board Play
In line with Electronic Arts' "NHL 17," it is revealed that its official beta registration for game consoles has commenced. Also, the game's lead producer Sean Ramjagsingh shared his thoughts on Board play and its realistic version in the game.
On July 3, EA Sports NHL unveiled the latest official gameplay trailer for "NHL 17." In caption, EA wrote "Register for the beta to play THIS in July." Thus, it is confirmed that the the title is arriving this month and gamers can test it to explore and engage with the gameplay.
As per the official EA NHL website, gamers have to register for them to play the beta on the site. Signing in for the EA account means that a player can have an early access to the "NHL 17" beta, as well as become an EA Sports NHL Insider. Insiders are capable of receiving videos, news, and unique contents through e-mail, along with other news on EA products and events.
The "NHL 17" beta allows players to access "thrilling speed" and "bone-crushing" gameplay, in addition to Online Versus, Hockey Ultimate Team, and EA Sports Hockey League game modes. As per reports, these modes showcase new teams and arena customization features prior to its official release.
Meanwhile, "NHL 17" lead producer Ramjagsingh shared his thoughts on the title's Board play. In his interview with The Hockey Writers, he said that it has had a lot of tuning, adding that the system itself was a lot of the same. He also mentioned that they were working on the AI pieces and the system reacted reacted when a third player came in to poke the puck loose.
Electronic Arts' "NHL 17" is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Sept. 13. Watch the official gameplay trailer here.
