NFL Playoffs 2015 Schedule: Baltimore Ravens Head For New England Patriots
The NFL Wild Card Weekend came and went, and anyone who got a chance to catch the game noticed how grueling and intense some playoff games can be. It's no secret that the early AFC and NFC games will set the stage for the rest of the NFL playoffs.
On Saturday, January 3rd, the Panthers beat the Cardinals by a score of 27 to 16. In the AFC wild-card game, the Ravens beat the Steelers, 30 to 17. This means that the Baltimore Ravens will be flying straight to New England to play the Patriots in the playoffs.
Baltimore's win over Pittsburgh was technically an upset since Baltimore is the No. 6 seed and Pittsburgh is No. 3, but in reality, the outcome was pretty predictable. The Ravens have played the Steelers three times already, so they came in with some experience.
Stepping into Monday's NFL games, the Cincinnati Bengals took on the Indianapolis Colts at 1:05 pm Eastern Time, while the Detroit Lions challenged the Dallas Cowboys at 4:40 pm.
Sports reporters predict a tough game for the Cincinnati Bengals because one of their star players, A.J. Green, dropped out due to a head injury. Evidently, they turn out to be right as the Bengals lost to the Colts by a final score of 10-26.
On that note, the Cowboys squeaked by the Lions and took the victory by a score of 24-20.
Next week, the Ravens will go up against the Patriots at 3:35 PM on Saturday, January 10th. This will be a hard game for Baltimore, as the New England Patriots team has had an especially good season this year. The NFC Divisional Round Game will pit the Lions or Panthers against the Seattle Seahawks.
Tensions heat up as the countdown to the Super Bowl begins. Who do you think will win this year?
