NFL 2015 News: Leagues Talks with Three Teams Looking to Move to L.A.

The NFL took another step toward putting another team in its second-biggest market, Los Angeles, after hearing presentations for possible franchise relocations, CBSSports reports.

According to the report, the 32 team owners heard presentations from three member clubs - the San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams - who are in the midst of local stadium issues, and are considering a move to the City of Angles as soon as next year.

"There is not a possibility that's being taken off the table," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said, with CBSSports pointing out that the league is not considering the possibility of all three teams (and two stadiums) joining the L.A. market. "We're just looking for the right solution."

As noted by the report, the Raiders and the Chargers are tied up for a stadium projected to drop in Carson, California, while the second presentation was made by Rams owner Stan Kroenke, who plans to get grounds for a stadium in Inglewood.

"I guess you could use the metaphor of [it being] musical chairs," New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch told a small group of media. "There's a bit of that going on."

Goodell also notes that the prospective relocation teams understand that not all of them would be granted the permission to move. "Those are the circumstances as they are. You take a risk if you file for relocation of whether it'll be approved."

He also pointed out that no votes were taken on Tuesday, clarifying that the group merely discussed the possibilities.

As reported by CBSSPorts, the more major topics like stadium sites and hefty relocation fees will be the next step of discussions, and opines that there is a better chance of at least one team moving to L.A. than not.

"The presentation that was made today by the Raiders-Chargers group was really, really well done, as was Stan's presentation," Tisch said.
