NFL 2015 Schedule News: Upcoming American Football Matchups

The NFL revealed its long awaited 2015 regular season schedule on Tuesday. On Thursday September 10th, for the opening game of the season, the New England Patriots, who were this year's Super Bowl Champions, will be facing the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Some other dates of note on the NFL schedule include the Regular Season Kickoff Weekend, which takes place on September 13th and 14th. There is also the Final Day of Regular Season, which is January 3rd, 2016 and the beginning of the NFL Playoffs, which is January 9th and 10th, 2016. Of course, there is the Super Bowl, which will be Super Bowl 50, taking place on February 7th, 2016 at Levi's Stadium.

The 2015 NFL season will also feature more exciting events such as three games to take place in London, and several matches that will be airing during prime time. The NFL will be returning to London's Wembley Stadium in order to continue its International series for the ninth year in a row.

The first game will be the New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins, which will take place on Sunday October 4th at 9:30 am Eastern Time. The second will be the Buffalo Bills vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, on Sunday, October 25th, also at 9:30. Finally, the Detroit Lions will face off against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 9:30 am Eastern Time.

There will also be a few championship rematches in store for NFL fans. The New York Jets will play against the Indianapolis colts on September 21st, as a Super Bowl II rematch. The Cincinnati Bengals will go against the San Francisco 49ers on December 20 as well.

All of this and more will be in store for this year's NFL season.
