NFL 2015 News: Pats Deflategate Staffers Re-instated, Pacman Jones Fined 35K

The two New England Patriots staffers that were suspended indefinitely following the deflate-gate controversy have been reinstated after the team requested to have John Jastremski and Jim McNally back in the fold.

"The Patriots have satisfied the league's requirements for reinstatement and the league has granted permission for the employees to return," a league statement said.

As noted by NBCSports.com, Jastremski is an equipment staffer and McNally is a locker room attendant. Both were cited in the Wells report as being involved in tampering with footballs, while their text messages and appearance on surveillance video were prominent in the same report.

The report also points out that while the league will not be imposing further disciplinary actions on either man, the NFL executive VP of football operations Troy Vincent sought a meeting with the two staffers to discuss their roles going forward from the controversy.

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had a few more comments about the Patriots following their 21-28 loss to New England in the season-opener, which opened up the doors of controversy with an incident of headset malfunctions.

The quarterback said that he had always been suspicious of the Pats ever since he was a rookie in 2004.

"Whether we were outcoached or outplayed or they had some king of leg up, I always felt that they knew some of our offensive plays," Roethlisberger told 93.7 the Fan in Pittsburgh.

"For whatever reason, maybe it was scouting or whatever. But I always felt that."

In other NFL news, the league has fined Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones $35,000 for slamming Okaldn Raiders rookie wide receiver Amari Cooper's head into his helmet during Sunday's game.

"Adam Jones: "Go ahead. Ask me! Yeah, I got fined. 35K. Way too much for a football play. I'll appeal,'" Jeremy Rauch of FOX 19 tweeted.
