NFL 2015 News: All the Injuries You Need to Know About in Week 1

Unfortunately, the NFL season is as marked with excitement as it is with injuries. And in the very first week of the 2015 season, a number of key players have gone down to various ailments.

The Baltimore Ravens were among the hardest hit in the season-opening week, losing defensive anchor Terrell Suggs for the rest of the season after he tore his Achilles in their Sunday game against the Denver Broncos.

The Carolina Panthers suffered an injury of their own, but it wasn't quite as devastating as the one in Baltimore, as linebacker Luke Kuechly, who signed a massive contract extension this past offseason, had to leave their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a concussion. He was not able to return to the game.

The Cleveland Browns also saw a possible concussion to their quarterback after Josh McCown took a hit while trying to launch to the end zone. He was taken out of the game and was replaced by Johnny Manziel.

The Oakland Raiders also saw their quarterback go down with an injury, this time a right hand injury that required a trip to the locker room before halftime of their game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Washington Redskins dropped their game against the Miami Dolphins 17-10, and also lost wide receiver DeSean Jackson to a hamstring injury.

In New York, the Jets are looking at two possibly serious injuries as cornerback Antonio Cromartie is feared to have suffered a torn ACL, while rookie linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin left the stadium in an ambulance with what is suspected to be a neck injury.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton left their game against the Buffalo Bills with a knee injury. According to reports, X-rays were negative, showing only a bruise. Hilton is expected to miss a few weeks.

Eugene Monroe of the Ravens added to the list of possible concussions after taking a hit against the Broncos.
