NFL 2014 News, Rumors: Michigan University Looking to Pick Up Coach Harbaugh

Ever since Jim Harbaugh led Stanford to an impressive victory in the Orange Bowl, he has been pressured by multiple job offers. The 49ers, the Miami Dolphins, Denver, and the University of Michigan continue to beg him to choose them, however, Harbaugh remains silent on the whole matter.

This year, the rumors claim that Harbaugh is leaning towards Michigan. This may be because Michigan has already launched a full offer at Harbaugh to the price of $48 million. However, a long time has passed and Harbaugh still has not taken the deal. This may be a bad sign for Michigan, who needs Jim Harbaugh to push their team towards a winning season.

On that note, there are couple theories floating around on the Internet as to why Harbaugh is making Michigan sweat.

Harbaugh's driving factors are competition and rivalries. Money does not seem to be his top priority, although he has never really received a poor offer. The question to ask is which team will offer more to Harbaugh in non-financial terms, such as rivalries. Michigan may not be a good option for him in this case.

Then again, Harbaugh has a natural tendency to take his time making crucial decisions. He is an extremely focused man, according to his agent David Dunn and other advisers, and he will not approach Michigan until after he is done with the game.

This reaction is typical of Harbaugh. In 2011, the champion-producing coach didn't say a word as team after team offered him large paychecks and other concessions. Eventually, he chose the 49ers without a hint of the decision beforehand.
