Cleveland Browns NFL 2014 News, Rumors: Johnny Manziel to Start in Week 15?
NFL aficionados know that Johnny Manziel made his career debut for the Texas A&M Aggies. He started college there in 2014 and soon became one of the best quarterbacks that the school ever had.
During his freshman year he broke numerous records and was the first freshman to ever win the coveted Heisman Award, the Manning Award, and the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award. In 2014, he was drafted by the Cleveland Browns.
There has been a lot of talk about that Johnny Manziel should be the starting quarterback for the Browns. Currently, Brian Hoyer is the starting quarterback for the team, but on Monday to the team coach announced that Hoyer would not be starting in week 15 of play.
Manziel will be the starting quarterback against the Cincinnati Bengals. The teams are division rivals and Cleveland could really use a win against them this season.
Many of Manziel's fans couldn't be more excited about him starting. He showed off his skills a couple of weeks ago when Hoyer left them game early. Manziel showed a lot of potential and ran for his first touchdown in that game.
Many sports analysts are saying that Hoyer is starting to crack under the pressure of having to win this season and this could be the reason for Manziel's start.
Critics of "Johnny Football" are hoping that he plays a nearly perfect game in order to get the recognition in the NFL. Along with his skills, the Browns' receivers must be there to fully support Manziel, if his team wants to take home a win.
