Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Latest: Nexus, HTC, LG, Motorola, Samsung, Sony Device Users Still Waiting

Several Android users with Nexus, HTC, Motorola, Samsung, and Sony handsets are still waiting for Google's new Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

Although Android 5.0 Lollipop is now available to a big percentage of Android users, there are still gadget owners who are on the waiting list.

It is not a surprise that Nexus users were the first ones to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update since both are owned and developed by Google. Smartphone owners with Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 2013 Wi-Fi, Nexus 9, and Nexus 10 models can now enjoy Android 5.0 on their device.

As for HTC, Google Play Editions of HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 have already received the update. However, HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 will receive Android 5.0 Lollipop soon.

LG users with the G3 model from Poland, Korea, and United Kingdom received the update first. There is no word yet from LG about the availability of Android 5.0 Lollipop in other models and other countries including the United States.

For Motorola users, Moto X is one of the first handsets to receive Android .5.0 but there are no confirmed release dates for other models.

Meanwhile, Only Samsung Galaxy 5 owners can enjoy the Android 5.0 Lollipop. The first countries to receive the update were Poland, South Korea, Spain and only recently, United Kingdom.

Samsung Galaxy S4 can get the update via CM 12 Port. The update is expected to be available soon for Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, and the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.

Finally, Sony users have not experienced the update yet but reports say that Android 5.0 Lollipop will be available in a few weeks for Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1S, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.Reports say that Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 will receive Android 5.0 Lollipop in February 2015.

Users can check the Android 5.0 Lollipop update via OTA or in the Settings and Software Update menu.
