For thrifty shoppers the second generation of Moto E is ideal since the new phones will be priced at $149.99. Its predecessor, the first Moto E, was even cheaper at $99. However, Motorola soon realized that customers were not satisfied with the WiFi only Internet connectivity and rear-facing camera.
According to Tech Times, the updated and unlocked Moto E will also come with 4G LTE, a larger 4.5 inch display, a 540 x 960 resolution, a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM with 8GB for storage, a 5-megapixel rear camera and VGA front-facing shooter.
It will also have a longer battery life, stating that it can last up to 24 hours and 720p video capture. For buyers who enjoy Google's Android services, the Moto E will be updated with the highly coveted Android 5.0 Lollipop. Customization on the Moto E's exterior is also available with a variety of color bands that attach to the outer edge of the phone's frame.
Before the Moto E series, Motorola has released the midrange Moto G handset. It was so successful that the company decided to continue making smartphones that were more first-time-user friendly and helped those who were speculative of smartphones to ease into the experience without burning a hole in their wallets.
The Moto E launched yesterday and is available for purchase in over 50 countries. In the US, the phones can be directly purchased from Motorola's product page.
