The Rangers (30-16-5) are attempting to halt a possible three game losing streak when they encounter the Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre.

"[Cam Talbot] gives us a chance to win every game," said New York head coach Alain Vigneault to reporters.

"He's doing what a goaltender is supposed to."

Previously, New York were defeated by the Dallas Stars by a final score of 3-2 in overtime, where Ranger players Carl Hagelin and Chris Kreider each scored a goal in the loss on February 8.

"I didn't see it," said Rangers goalie Cam Talbot to reporters after gave up the game winning goal to Stars right winger Ales Hemsky in the aforementioned defeat.

"I looked around to see the initial start and then he went straight back in the other direction. Once it came off his stick, I lost the puck completely."

Meanwhile, the Maple Leafs (23-27-4) are looking to win two consecutive games when they host the Rangers on Tuesday night.

Previously, Toronto crushed the Edmonton Oilers by a final score of 5-1 on February 7, where Maple Leafs center Peter Holland had a goal and an assist in the victory.

"It's important to see that there's results," said Maple Leafs interim coach Peter Horachek to reporters.

"I kept telling them that the results are going to come. You've just got to keep the process of doing things the right way."
