The New York Rangers will go one-on-one with the New York Islanders on February 16 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.

The Rangers (33-16-5) are attempting to lengthen their current winning streak to four games when they encounter their crosstown and Metropolitan nemesis, the Islanders at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

"They're a good team and they're playing extremely well," said New York head coach Alain Vigneault to reporters. "We're going to need to have a better start and we're going to need to have a better game than we've had so far."

Previously, New York demolished the Arizona Coyotes by a final score of 5-1, where Ranger players Kevin Hayes, Chris Kreider, Rick Nash, Lee Stempniak and Marc Staal each scored a goal for the Broadway Blueshirts on February 14.

Meanwhile, the Islanders (37-18-1) are looking to prolong their winning streak to five games when they host the Rangers on Monday night.

"It's always a good game when we play 'em, you know, it raises the stakes a little bit how close the race is," said Islanders head coach Jack Capuano to reporters.

"Again I know it's a Ranger game but we need to focus on the way that we need to play."

New York also recently crushed the Columbus Blue Jackets by a final score of 6-3, where Islanders center John Tavares had two goals and two assists in the victory on February 14.
