The New York Rangers will battle the Nashville Predators on March 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York.

The Rangers (38-17-6) are attempting to avoid a potential two game losing streak when they host the Predators at Madison Square Garden.

"We were playing against a team that was desperate," said New York head coach Alain Vigneault to reporters after their recent game versus the Flyers.

"I don't say it too often about too many parts of our game, but unfortunately our power play got outworked tonight."

Previously, The Rangers were defeated by their Metropolitan division foe the Philadelphia Flyers by a final score of 4-2, where New York players John Moore and J.T. Miller each scored a goal in the loss on February 28.

"We didn't have the puck a lot tonight, didn't win a lot of battles, and spent too much time in our own zone," said Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh said to reporters.

Meanwhile, the Predators (41-15-7) are looking to prevent a possible three game losing streak when they battle with the Rangers on Monday night.

Recently, the Predators were defeated by the Detroit Red Wings by a final score of 4-3, where Nashville left winger Tomas Tatar scored the game winning goal in the third period on February 28.

"We stuck together and battled like a team and scored a few goals," said Tatar to reporters.

"When we were down just one goal, we said we will stick with the plan and do what we do."
