The New York Rangers will go one-on-one with the Chicago Blackhawks on March 8 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

The Rangers (39-17-7) are attempting to prevent a possible two game losing streak when they battle the Blackhawks at the United Center.

Previously, the Rangers were defeated by the Detroit Red Wings by a final score of 2-1 in overtime, where New York defenseman Dan Girardi scored the only goal for the 'Broadway Blueshirts' in the loss on March 4.

"It was a good hockey game. A lot of battle all over the ice by both teams," said New York head coach Alain Vigneault to reporters.

Meanwhile, the Blackhawks are looking to protect their home ice when they host the Rangers on Sunday night.

Previously, the Blackhawks defeated the Carolina Hurricanes by a final score of 5-2, where Chicago center Jonathan Toews recorded two goals and an assist in the victory on March 2.

"I don't think it's just the three of us," said Toews to reporters.

"I think as a team we all believe we can pitch here and there. It happened to be us tonight."
