Motorola New Device News: New Moto G, Moto X, Moto 360 & More to Release July 28
Motorola will be launching a slew of new smartphones at an event on July 28. There are speculations that the company may showcase Moto G (2015) at the event. In addition, there are rumors that Moto X (2015), a new Moto 360 and a new Droid smartphones will be unveiled on that day.
IB Times reports that Motorola has announced that simultaneous launch events will be held in London, São Paulo and New York. As the company has stated that "a better mobile relationship is on its way," Phone Arena conjectures that it means new smartphones will be launched on the occasion.
Recently, there were rumors that the Motorola Moto G (2015) will be unveiled on July 28. The upcoming device is expected to sport a 5-inch display with HD resolution support and be powered by a Snapdragon 410 chipset. Moreover, speculations are that two variants of Moto G (2015) are under wraps - one will feature 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB internal storage, while the second will house 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
It is rumored that the handset will be an IPx7-certified device, in addition to having a water-resistant chassis. The device is expected to cost $179.99 in the U.S.
The Motorola Moto X (2015) will sport a 5.2-inch screen and pack a Snapdragon 810 chipset. The device is expected to come with an upgraded camera and a huge battery. Moto X Sport, a hardy variant of the Moto X (2015) having a water-resistant chassis, is also likely to be unveiled on July 28. According to rumors, a larger version of the Moto X sporting a 5.7-inch display is also in the works.
In addition, Motorola may also launch a successor model for Moto 360 smartwatch, which was released in 2015, at its upcoming launch event. It is expected that the new smartwatch will come with a higher resolution display supporting 360 pixels.
Since the past few years, the company has been releasing a Verizon exclusive Droid smartphone in the U.S. Hence, there are rumors that Motorola may also release a new Droid on July 28.
