New 'Let The Right One In' Reboot News: A&E Network to Remake Vampire Film
Recent news has suggested a revival of the vampire craze with A&E's upcoming remake of the 2008 film 'Let the Right One In'. The movie follows a young boy that falls in love with his vampire neighbor and is a surprisingly heartwarming take on the dark fantasy franchise. This television adaptation is projected to adopt a similar premise with a bullied young teen boy.
"The drama, which is in the development stage, is being produced in- house via A+E Studios and Marty Adelstein's and Becky Clements' (Teen Wolf, Aquarius) Tomorrow Studios. Davis, Boyce, Adelstein, Clements and Simon Oakes will executive produce. The property was optioned from Hammer Films Productions, which produced the 2010 English-language film adaptation Let Me In," writes THR.
Remakes are becoming quite the hot topic on television, especially on the A&E network, as they're currently airing both 'Bates Motel' and 'The Returned'.
Apart from this phenomenon, 'Let the Right One In' has already been remade in America. In 2010 Director Matt Reeves rebooted the movie titling it 'Let Me In', starring Chloe Grace Moretz. It hasn't been confirmed yet if she will be attached to this project.
As it stands, there is currently no premiere date for the series.
