'New Girl' Season 5 Spoilers: Dr. Sam Returns, Jess' World Turns Upside Down?

They say love is sweeter the second time around. We will soon found out on "New Girl" as Dr. Sam Sweeney return on Season 5 to turn Jess' world upside down -- again.

Portrayed by "About a Boy's" David Walton, Sweeny met Jess in Season 2 when he had mistaken her for his blind date in a bar.

The couple's brief romance ended when Jess and Nick (Jake Johnson) kissed.

Sweeny will come back to the Fox comedy for a multiple-episode arc which will be aired in March, reports Christian Post.

Meanwhile, "Ben and Kate's" Lucy Punch will also join the cast as the administrator at the school where Jess intends to work. Punch's character will be recurring.

Moreover, showrunner Liz Meriwether reveals her intention to instill maturity in the characters.

"They're not good being adults," said Meriwether on Entertainment Weekly.

When Season 5 premiered on Jan. 5, Jess was stealing a scooter, Nick was kidnapping someone, and Winston (Lamorne Morris) gets busy plotting a prank.

But as "New Girl" airs its 100th episode and as Cece (Hannah Simone) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) ties the knot, the couple will step out as adults and the rest of the cast will feel the need to grow up.

The fifth season of "New Girl" is also expected to feature Peter Gallagher as Schmidt's dad and Anna George as Cece's mother who doesn't like Schmidt. Fred Armisen will also be there as a tenant. But the show's most anticipated guest is Megan Fox who is expected to bring in energy as Zooey Deschanel takes her maternity leave.

Fox plays Reagan, a fierce and straightforward pharmaceutical agent.
