The New England Patriots will face the San Diego Chargers on December 7 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California.

The Patriots (9-3) are trying to prevent a possible two game losing streak when they encounter the Chargers this Sunday.

New England recently lost to the Detroit Lions by a score of 26-21 this past Sunday, a game where Tom Brady went 22-35 for 245 yards with two touchdowns in a losing effort.

"I just wish we would have won this one. We put a lot into this one, and this was a great test for us," said Brady to reporters.

"I think the guys knew how important this was for our season."

Meanwhile, the Chargers (8-4) looks to extend their current winning streak to four games when they attempt to defend their home field against the durable squad from New England.

The Chargers defeated the Baltimore Ravens by a final score of 34-33 this past Sunday, a game where San Diego QB Phillip Rivers went 34-45 for 383 yards with three touchdowns and an interception in the victory.

"These are the kind of games you got to win to get in (the postseason) and these are the kind of games you got to win if you do get in," said Rivers to reporters after he threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to San Diego wide receiver Eddie Royal with 38 seconds remaining which sealed the victory.

"I'm not saying you're going to win all of them, but if you can't win these, you're not good enough."
