New ASUS Gaming Laptop Specs, Features, Price: Tech Titan Unveils Ultra-Thin Notebook with Nvidia Graphics Card
Taking a cue from its rivals like Acer, Alienware, MSI and Razer, Taiwanese tech manufacturer ASUS has just unveiled its latest gaming laptop, the Republic of Gamers (ROG) G501. As ASUS is reputed to deliver fast, slim, and excellent devices, its new gaming laptop does not come to disappoint.
The ASUS new G501 sports a 15.6-inch IPS matte display rendering a bright 3840 x 2160 resolution, and delivers sharp and meticulous visuals. ASUS has promoted the latest ROG G501 as one of the slimmest laptops available in its class, having an ultra-slim profile of just 0.81 inch. Apart from its thinness, the new gaming laptop is among the lightest, weighing just 4.54 pounds. The new ASUS device comes in a thin aluminum case having black and red edges.
According to Christian Post, the hardware of the new ASUS ROG G501 is also impressive. The gaming laptop is equipped with an Intel Core i7-4720 processor packing 2.6 GHz speed. The processor can also be overclocked at 3.6 GHz. As the laptop comes with 16 GB of DDR3 memory, it can be used for gaming as well for work. The storage of the latest ASUS ROG G501 is at 512 GB PCIe x 4 SSD.
As far as connectivity is concerned, users are able to employ the Thunderbolt port, three USB 3.0 ports, SD card reader, in addition to an HDMI. The new device also comes with Bluetooth 4.0 along with 802.11ac Wi-FI connectivity.
The new ASUS ROG G501 delivers cool and stunning visual because it sports the most recent Nvidia graphics card. The new gaming laptop boasts the latest Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M, rocking 4 GB of GDDR5 VRAM.
Meanwhile, ASUS is currently incorporating Nvidia graphics into its GL551 and G751 series. While the GL551JW sport the GTX 960M, the G751JL will come with the GTX 965M.
The new ASUS G501 will soon be available in the U.S. and Canada and is expected to be priced at around $1,999.
