New Asus Chromebook News, Rumors: Asus FLIP Added to the Chromebook Line Up
Google has recently teamed up with ASUS to develop a new Chromebook called "FLIP", to be available within the next few months. The Silicon Valley tech and Internet Search Company has attained innovation in creating "Chromebooks" - popular for being a tablet and laptop without the complexities of a regular computer.
The new ASUS "FLIP" is one of a kind as the hardware is convertible. It can be turned a full 360 degree swing that which can turn into a Chrome OS tablet. And according to a recent post in Chrome's blog, the new device is 'ultra-portable' weighing less than 2 pounds, and is 15 mm thin.
This new Chromebook may beat the ACER Chromebook 15 as Flip is expected to have a 10.1 inch IPS panel for the screen with a vibrant resolution of 1280 x 800.
ASUS Flip also boasts 4 GB worth of RAM, 16 GB SSD, and a fanless Rockchip 3288 CPU. Chrome also revealed on their blog that it would be sold to the market at a budget friendly price of $249 by Spring.
The recent releases for Chromebooks all include a Chrome OS which has been given mild respect in the tech society. The OS still is reported to be lacking factors that can compete with popular the Apple IOS and Android IOS. Only Chrome's reliable partners have launched on the OS which include Evernote and Vine. There should be game-changing improvements now that the ASUS Flip feature Android Apps and a virtual keyboard unlike the ACER Chromebook 15.
On the other side of the world, Hisense and Haier has released their versions of Chromebooks in China. The two are said to be built for educational purposes.
The specs for Haier Chromebook 11 include an 11.6 inch screen display, a Rockechip 3288 chipset to last it long while multi-tasking, 10 hours of battery life, 2GB worth of RAM and a 16 GB storage. Meanwhile, Hisense sports identical specs with Haier although display larger by a small fraction at 11.6 inch and battery life lasts only for 8.5 hours.
