New Artist, Singer-Songwriter Iryne Rock Releases Debut Album JFY (Just For You)
New artist and singer-songwriter Iryne Rock on Friday released her debut album JFY (Just for You). The 11-track album has also yielded the Nigerian-born singer-songwriter's first single, "Fire In My Veins," which released March 30 and is currently playing at Christian AC and Christian CHR-formatted radio stations.
"I have been counting the days until the release of JFY (Just for You) for so long," says Rock, "and now it's here! I hope you guys are ready for this album! You might want to come with your dancing shoes and a heart of worship as we all focus on the one and only God."
Currently serving as a worship leader in her home state of Maryland, Rock says she grew up listening to the likes of Leon Patillo, Bebe and Cece Winans, Michael W. Smith, Bryan Duncan and others. As a child in her native Nigeria, she also sang in the church choir, but it was in her home church at Solomon's Porch Worship Center in Jessup, Md., where Rock began to take songwriting seriously.
"It is through the leading of the Holy Spirit that I wrote and produced JFY (Just for You)," says Rock. "The mission of this album is to create music that will draw the listeners closer to God and it is my hope that all who hear it will be blessed."
There is a music video accompanying the new album's lead single, "Fire In My Veins," available on YouTube, along with an artist profile video where Rock goes into more detail about her songwriting and musical journey so far.
Rock is also planning to record a new live performance video for one of the songs on the album on May 27 at Solomon's Porch Worship Center in Jessup, Md. She says that everyone and anyone who wishes to participate is welcome to attend.
