As Amazon had robbed much of the enthusiasm over the release of the 1TB Xbox One console by leaking the details early, Microsoft simply made an official announcement regarding the device.

According to a post in Major Nelson, the Xbox One 1TB console comes with a new matte finish as well as additional storage for games and media. In addition, it is accompanied by a newly designed Xbox One Wireless Controller. In select regions, Microsoft is also offering 'Halo: The Master Chief Collection' for a limited time with the console.

The latest Xbox One Wireless Controller includes a 3.5 mm stereo jack that allows players to plug a headset directly into the controller. In addition, it offers the option to adjust headset volume, mic monitoring, as well as voice and game audio balance through the Settings menu on the console.

Meanwhile, the price of all standard Xbox One 500GB consoles has been reduced to $349 USD price in the United States as well as selects regions with effect from June 9.

Microsoft has also announced that players will be able to purchase the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows this fall and enjoy the freedom as well as convenience of the wireless controller on Windows 10 PCs, laptops, and tablets.
