'Daredevil' Season 2 Release Date, News: The Punisher, Elektra Stir Things Up
After a successful first season, the Netflix series, "Daredevil" is gearing up for a second season that will certainly make a lot of viewer excited with the characters involved in it.
Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox, has finally donned the iconic red Daredevil suit. However, he is still having issues with being a "hero" of the city. While his own experience and principles limit his capabilities (just like how DC's Batman decided not to kill anyone), a new character will be serving in the show as more of a vigilante than a hero.
The Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal will stir things up in the show. The 39-year-old Bernthal has been great in portraying his previous bad ass roles such as Grady 'Coon-Ass' Travis in "Fury" and Shane in the AMC series "The Walking Dead." He has proved to be a remarkable actor and according to Marvel TV Executive Vice President Jeph Loeb, he has done an exceptional job in portraying The Punisher, a character that through the years, has failed to be someone symbolic to all viewers and fans.
"If you love season one, you're going to love season two. Jon Bernthal has succeeded in his quest [to not screw up the character]. His Punisher is extraordinarily memorable, in every way," Loeb told Comic Book.
Also, Elektra, played by Elodie Yung, will also be thrown in the mix in the show and in Murdock's existence. "You will fall in love with Elodie Yung as Elektra, and she will break your heart, because that's what Elektra does to people," Loeb added.
Make sure to catch the second season on Netflix on March 18, 2016.
