Netflix New Movie List: Films Taken Off Streaming Service in February

Every once and a while, Netflix will clear out some of its old movies and television shows to make room for new films. Netflix decides which titles to bring out based on demand, or the lack of demand.

On Feb. 1st, you can say goodbye to almost thirty different classics including Batman & Robin and two more films from that series. If the Michael Keaton classic couldn't keep viewers coming, it isn't a big surprise that Sean Connery in Goldfinger will be leaving Netflix to make room for a newer version of 007.

While the older films like Nacho Libre and two-time Oscar-winning Apocalypse Now will be walking out the door, we were a little surprised to see a couple of newer films being taken off Netflix. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie, for example, was released to adoring crowds just last year. Part of the reason for the film's removal may have to do with the disappointing reviews it has been receiving. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has recently been nominated for the Razzie Award for the Worst Movie category.

Also on the 1st, a few television shows are being removed entirely, such as MI5: Seasons 1-10, and Red Dwarf: Seasons 1-9.

The following day, Netflix will take out at least five more television shows including My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: S1-4 and Pound Puppies: S1-3. The child-appealing series have quickly been replaced by more recent attractions for little girls and boys.

For the rest of the months, films will be removed one at a time, including Arbitrage, Drebb, and Kristen Stewart's Panic Room. Don't worry, though! Any films that you want to see back on Netflix can be seen again if the demand is great enough.
