The successful Seth Rogen comedy, 'Neighbors', plans to return the big screen with an even bigger and funnier sequel.

Universal Pictures has confirmed that Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, and Rose Byrne will all indeed by returning for a 'Neighbors 2'.

"Earning over $265 million bucks worldwide, the modestly-budgeted smash hit 'Neighbors' was a big success for everyone involved last year. Audiences and critics loved it, Seth Rogen and Zac Efron proved to be engaging nemeses, and the film embraced the R-rating," writes The Playlist.

The sequel plans to move forward from where the last film left off, with the exception of a new "female twist."

"Penned by Andrew Jay Cohen and Brendan O'Brien, the first Neighbors revolved around a couple (Rogen, Byrne) with a new baby who are forced to live next to a fraternity house and do whatever they can to take it down. Cohen and O'Brien are back for the sequel, which will have a female twist. This time a sorority moves in next door to the couple, who enlist their former nemeses from the fraternity to help battle the raucous sisters," writes Hollywood Reporter.

'Neighbors 2' is gearing up to start production this summer with its release rumored for 2016.
