'Need For Speed' Reboot News: EA Announces New NFS Series Title - Releases this Fall

Currently, it seems like in the world of video games, series reboots are the trend. On that note, Electronic Arts is jumping on the band wagon, with a reboot of the popular video game racing franchise, Need for Speed.

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Ben Walke, the content and community manager for EA , introduced the new Need for Speed, which is expected to launch for fall 2015.

Walke wrote, "...in just a few weeks' time at E3 you'll get to witness the full unveiling, but until then we just want to touch base on a few things."

Walke states that EA is responding to the feedback from players and will be adding some features that fans of the video game series have been requesting.

He went on to say that as Electronic Arts develops the game, they are keeping in mind the desires of the Need For Speed gamer community.

"While we've been busy making the game we've also been reading, watching and listening to you, or NFS Community," wrote Walke. "The feedback you've provided across every medium possible has urged us forward and directed us towards our goals. To know that there's such a passionate set of gamers out there is one of the best feelings you can have as a developer, so thank you for that."

The upcoming Need for Speed, will include cars that can be fully customized and according to Walke, Electronic Arts is looking into the urban car scene across time in order to cater to those players who are passionate about cars.
