Deeks and Kensi will take their relationship to the next level in the upcoming season of "NCIS: Los Angeles."

According to reports, the couple will move forward with their engagement in season 8, but fans should not expect it to be traditional in any sense. Because of this, some speculate that Kensi may be pregnant or that Deeks will propose to Kensi while they're both out in the field.

At the San Diego Comic-Con 2016, actress Daniela Ruah explained that her pregnancy in real life with impact the direction of the show. She also confirmed that she is still going to appear in every episode of the upcoming season even when she's on maternity leave, since they have already completed the pre-season production for the season.

"Obviously this situation is a catalyst for changing the storyline, and I think it's for the best. These characters go through a lot this season, including a really fantastic engagement and proposal. It's phenomenal. It's a really exciting year for the show; it's a really exciting year for us," the actress teased.

Meanwhile, executive producer Scott Gemmill revealed that Kensi won't just put down her badge to become a housewife after her marriage with Deeks. There are also speculations that they will have a child, following reports that the series will portray her as a "nurturing individual."

Director John Peter Kousakis also revealed that Kensi will be in a difficult position as season 8 premieres.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8 is set to premiere in October 2 on CBS.
