NBA News: Cleveland Cavaliers vs Golden State Warriors Christmas Game Preview

This Christmas, the NBA will give us a special treat as the two teams who have competed in the 2015 NBA Championship clash again for a regular season game.

With the return of Kyrie Irving from the fractured kneecap that he suffered during the 2015 Finals, the Cavaliers' chances are high in this rematch. During Game 1 of the Championships, The Warriors had a hard time with Kyrie on the court. Curry was also not in his rhythm during that game. Unfortunately, Irving went down on that game, leaving a slightly opened window for the Warriors not only on that game, but for the rest of the seven-game series.

Irving already made his return on Sunday against the Philadelphia 76ers. The team managed to cruise past the lowest ranking team in the NBA today and Irving was able to contribute 12 points and four assists in only 17 minutes of action. While the team's starting point guard was out, LeBron James and Kevin Love picked up the slack. LeBron averages 26.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. It really has been LeBron's team since day one. Meanwhile, Kevin Love has a double-double average of 17.5 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.

The Warriors started the season with a 24-0 standing before losing to the Milwaukee Bucks on December 13. Stephen Curry is having another MVP-caliber season averaging 31.2 points (on 52 percent field goal and 45 percent three-point shooting), 6.3 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game. Draymond Green's versatility on the court helps the team a lot. He's like the team's "Dennis Rodman" but with great three-point shooting. He already managed to record four triple doubles this season.

Both teams managed to win their previous games before facing each other. The Warriors defeated the Utah Jazz 103-85, while The Cavaliers won against the New York Knicks 91-84.

The Cavaliers will head to Oracle Arena in Oakland to face the defending champs. The game starts 2:00 p.m. PT. The best in the east will battle the best in the west. There can't be a better timing for this. What a Christmas present from the NBA!
