NBA 2015 Draft News: All the Buzz about Draft Night in New York

As the NBA Finals seem to have only finished with the Golden State Warriors raising the Larry O'Brien trophy, it's on to the next order of business for NBA teams as the 2015 NBA Draft is upon us. According to CBSSports' Ken Berger, here are some of the latest buzz that should as a guide entering into Draft night in New York.

The Minnesota Timberwolves may be all but set into drafting Karl Anthony Towns are the first overall pick, but with the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, and the New York Knicks all bad teams with multiple needs filling in the next three spots in the draft, it could be anybody's guess which direction they choose to go.

The Lakers have been mired in trade talks with the Sacramento Kings' All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins, and any potential deal between the two should conceivably involve Los Angeles' No. 2 pick.

If a deal should push through between the Lakers and the Kings, that could swing the rest of the draft as the Sixers and the Knicks could also go in multiple directions having a slim roster with needs at almost every position.

According to Berger, the Boston Celtics are the most aggressive team trying to trade into the top 10. Boston owns the 16th and 28th pick, and general manager Danny Ainge has made it clear that everyone on their roster is available for the right pick. Berger notes that the Kings (No. 6) and the Denver Nuggets could be open to making a deal with the Celtics.

The Sixers are reportedly in love with D'Angelo Russell and could look to trade up for the Lakers' second pick to ensure they get their man. But Berger notes that Sixers GM Sam Hinkie has also not closed the door on teams trying to trade up for the No. 3 pick.

There were earlier reports that the Knicks might be open to trading down their pick for someone like Frank Kaminsky, who is rumored to have multiple suitors.

For the bottom half of the top 10, Stanley Johnson, Emmanuel Mudiay, and Justise Winslow are all in range for the Nuggets (No. 7), Pistons (No. 8) and Hornets (No. 10), while the Miami Heat, who have big decisions to make on Dwyane Wade and Goran Dragic might be also in play for potential deals.
