'Glee' actress Naya Rivera told fans through social media on Tuesday that she and her husband, Ryan Dorsey, are expecting their first child.

According to MTV, Rivera announced her pregnancy with a bun in the oven illustration with a link to her personal blog on her Instagram account. Her official Tumblr page read, "Surprise! We're having a baby! Ryan and I feel so blessed and can't wait to welcome the newest member of our family!" Below the text were two pictures of her and Dorsey when they were children. Rivera also announced her pregnancy on Twitter. The post said, "First comes...then comes marriage...then comes..."

Fans and followers have shared their excitement over the announcement with many posts of congratulations throughout Rivera's social media pages.

According People Magazine, Rivera and Dorsey met five years ago and were longtime friends before they married last July in a secret ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Rivera had previously been engaged to rapper Big Sean, but broke off the engagement last April.

In an interview with US Weekly, Rivera and Dorsey said of their marriage, "We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife.Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for. True love always prevails."

Rivera is now 28 and is most known for her role as Santana Lopez on Fox's hit series "Glee," which just finished filming its final episode. She has recently landed a role in "Devious Maids," a show from Lifetime. Dorsey, 31, is most known for his roles in films Groovin' On, Unspoken, and Justified. He will be staring in Blood Father alongside Mel Gibson, which is set to release this year.
