The Black Knights (4-7) are seeking to extend their winning streak to a possible two games when they battle their FBS Independents divisional foes, the Midshipmen, this Saturday afternoon.
Previously, Army defeated the Fordham Rams by a final score of 42-31, after Army RB Larry Dixon scored three touchdowns for 158 total yards in the game on November 22.
"If you ask me probably next year, I won't know how many yards I ran for, won't know how many touchdowns," said Dixon to reporters after he became the fourth man in Black Knights history to rush for at least 3,000 yards in his career.
"It's this brotherhood that drives me, and that's what I'm going to remember about this game: that win we got together."
Army rookie head coach Jeff Monken also revealed his thoughts about his squad's upcoming game against their longtime foes Navy at the M&T Bank Stadium.
"We are really excited about the game this weekend. Anytime you're competing in anything at West Point, you look forward to the opportunity to compete against Navy, the biggest rival that we have. Our guys are excited as well as the coaching staff and everyone involved.... Hopefully the extra time and preparation is going to be a positive for us," said Monken to reporters.
"We've certainly tried to hit every scenario that we think may be a possibility in the game to try and best prepare for Navy who I think is a terrific football team. They are a very talented and extremely well coached team."
Meanwhile, the Navy (6-5) are looking to prolong their winning streak to a potential three games, when they attempt to torpedo Army on Saturday when the two legendary rivals square off for the 115th time in history.
Previously, Navy defeated the South Alabama Jaguars by a final score of 42-40 on November 28.
