'Nashville' Season 4 News: Hayden Panettiere to Return in April?

Hayden Panettiere, who plays the role of Juliette Barnes in ABC's Nashville will be back. According to TV Line, she will make her return in the 14th episode of season 4.

The 26-year-old Panettiere had to leave the show because of postpartum depression. She filed for a leave of absence to undergo treatment.

The actress left prior to the production of the ninth episode of the current season. She was last seen in the episode that was released on November 18, 2015.

According to Christian Today, series showrunner Dee Johnson spoke about Panettiere's decision to temporarily leave the show and the adjustments that they had to make in the story because of that.

"We've had to make adjustments, but it's not uncommon for shows to have to make such accommodations when real life intervenes," the showrunner explained. Johnson had good faith that Panettiere will be able to return as soon as she overcomes her condition.

In other news, Paul Lee, ABC's head of entertainment division, told EW that the show will be back for a fifth season and has no plans yet in putting an end to the story. He said that it is because of their "passionate" fan base.

"We don't have any plans to finish Nashville... The Nashville audience grows by a large amount in our delay viewings. No, at this point, no plans for Nashville other than to keep it going," Lee said.

Expect Panettiere to return sometime around April as "Nashville" season 4 returns from midseason break on March 16.
