'Nashville' Season 4 Finale News, Spoilers: Five Networks Interested to Save 'Nashville' After ABC's Cancellation?

Despite ABC's cancellation of the hit television series, creators of "Nashville" still opted to end season 4 with a bold cliffhanger. This sparked outrage among fans, but Lionsgate Television stands by its decision to end the series that way.

"We intend and are quite focused and are in substantive and serious conversations with multiple buyers about continuing the show on another platform, said Lionsgate TV head Kevin Beggs in a statement when asked about their post-ABC plans for the series.

"If we didn't feel that was going to happen, we might have gone a different way," he added.

Beggs revealed that following the confirmation that ABC cancelled "Nashville" from its roster of shows, five buyers have already expressed interest to pick up the series.

Industry analysts believe that the decision of the production team to leave it open for a possible continuation may actually be a good move, as more and more platforms will be willing to pick up the show considering how excited viewers are to know what happens next following the cliffhanger left by the season 4 finale.

Season 4 ended with the plane of Juliette Barnes dropping out of sight while she was on her way to meet her husband and child.

Beggs revealed that they are also open to the possibility of airing every season renewal on different platforms. The last four seasons of the series was aired on the streaming service Hulu, but there is no assurance yet that it will still be the choice for season 5.
