'Nashville' Season 3, Episode 17 Recap: What Happened to Sadie? Will She be Charged with Murder?

In Episode 17 of the third season of ABC's "Nashville," the show began with Pete, played by Jay Wilkerson, being pronounced dead.

However, while Sadie, portrayed by actress Laura Benanti, waited to see if she would face charges for killing her ex-husband, Pete, Juliette, played by Hayden Panettiere, went into labor and by the end of the episode, gave birth.

Rayna (Connie Britton) was stressed when she and Deacon, played by Charles Esten, had to tell Maddie (Lennon Stella) and Daphne (Maisy Stella) that Deacon has been diagnosed with cancer. Things got even worse for Rayna, though, when she received a call from Sadie, at the police station.

Rayne went to the station with her lawyer, and though Sadie had not been confined to a cell, the detective said that there was a chance that she would be charged with homicide for her Pete's death, due to the fact that there were no witnesses there to confirm that she was defending herself, and the gun that she had used was not registered.

Amid all of this stress, Juliette's situation provided comic relief. According to International Business Times, "The pregnant singer was even crazier than usual with the baby on the way. When she realized hardly anyone could come to her baby shower, which Rayna planned, she was upset."

She began destroying the cake and decorations for her shower and had a huge argument with Rayna when she did show up. Of course, after Rayna put her in her place by saying her piece, Juliette's water broke.

Rayna took her to the hospital and stayed with her until the baby was born and Avery arrived.
