A fresh promotional video for the upcoming season of "Narcos" was released on the series' official Facebook account. The video offers a disturbing teaser of what fans should expect in season 3.

The promo shows singer Paquita la del Barrio expressing how she abhors drug lords by singing explicit words right in front of Pablo Escobar's face on posters.

However, the end of the promo video shows the face of del Barrio gradually change as she sees the face of Gilberto Rodriguez Orojuela, who is reportedly going to become the lead character in season 3.

While some reports claim that Orojuela will be the main character in the next season, some websites claim that he will just be one of the main characters, as season 3 will shift its focus on the notorious Cali Cartel which includes the other godfathers, Miguel Rodriguez, Jose "Chepe" Santacruz-Londono and Helmer "Pancho" Herrera.

According to Executive Producer Eric Newman, avid fans of the series should expect a different angle in the story of season 3. Spoilers suggest that the upcoming season will not be as violent and as morbid as the adventures of Pablo Escobar in the first two seasons, but will center on the Cartel's disreputable journey and the drug lords working for the government.

"Narcos" season 3 will show how the Cali Cartel was able to make its way into some of the most influential institutions and organizations at the time. The creators of the series have yet to give an official statement about how long the Cali Cartel will run in the series.

"Narcos" season 3 is slated for release in 2017.
