'Narcos' Season 2 Release News: Moura Teases Fans Set To See A Different Escobar?
The upcoming installment of "Narcos" will see the death of Colombian kingpin Pablo Escobar.
Since news about "Narcos" season 2 came out, fans have been so thrilled to know what happens when the series returns. As of this writing, the only thing that is certain about the upcoming season is that it will see the end of the head of the Medellin cartel.
Actor Wagner Moura recently revealed that viewers of the series will see a totally different Escobar when the show returns.
Over the past episodes of the series, fans were able to see an extremely tough, daring and dangerous Escobar. The first season saw a strong and powerful kingpin who always went on top of things. In season 2, however, fans will see the end of his regime.
During the Television Critics Association conference, Moura revealed that fans will see highly dramatic and emotional scenes for Escobar in season 2.
"So we're going to see him in situations that we never saw him in. Emotional situations that we never saw him in the first one. It's basically Pablo on the run, but not only focused on Pablo's journey," said the actor.
In the new season, Escobar will leave his Medellin cartel in the bloodiest way viewers can ever imagine. History has it that the real Escobar was shot dead by the Colombian police after he attempted to escape. However, relatives of the Colombian kingpin claim that Escobar killed himself before the police ever reached him.
"Narcos" season 2 premieres on September 2 on Netflix.
