'Mr. Robot' Season 2 Premiere Date Spoilers: Elliot Plots To Get Rid Of Mr. Robot?

Following the big reveal in the season 1 finale that Mr. Robot is just a figment of Elliot's imagination, the young hacker will try to get rid of the insurrectionist's voice out of his head in "Mr. Robot" season 2.

A trailer video for the upcoming installment shows how Elliot will try to take Mr. Robot out of his world and how serious things will turn out after the E. Corp hacking came about in the previous season.

In an interview, actor Rami Malek who plays Elliot revealed that "Mr. Robot" season 2 will be totally different from last year. He also said that the season will focus on how his character tries to remove Mr. Robot from his world and struggles to keep his father's manifestation at bay.

"What he's trying to do, at all costs, is to remove him from his world," said Malek.

As for Mr. Robot, the anarchist will continue to bug Elliot and egg him to commit another malevolent act while convincing him that everything he asks him to do is a worthy cause.

Meanwhile, Slater will be mind-boggler in the upcoming season. One trailer video for season 2 shows him pointing a revolver at Elliot's head, until a gunshot is heard.

According to series creator Esmail, season 2 picks up 30 days after the hacking which drew the attention of the U.S. president as it immediately became a national concern. That means that aside from his dilemma involving Mr. Robot, Elliot will have to deal with the government officials who are after him in season 2.

"Mr. Robot" season 2 premieres on July 13, 10:00 P.M. on USA Network.
