"Mr. Robot" season 2, episode 7 saw Elliot in prison, after his own delusions have fooled not only him, but the viewers as well.

"Elliot, you know you haven't been staying with your mother, right?" Krista asks him as prison walls are flashed behind her.

It turns out that everything that Elliot has experienced throughout the season has happened while he was behind bars. That means that all the pick-up games, the meals he had with Leon, talks with Ray, and everything he had this season were just a constructed reality he used to cope with his life in prison. His room at his mother's house was a jail cell, and his mother was a prison guard.  However, things get a bit tricky with Ray, who is either the prison warden or a counselor. Elliot blames him for his solitary confinement, where he was put after being beaten up by a group of inmates.

In episode 8, titled "eps2.6_succ3ss0r.p12." fans should expect high-voltage drama following the big reveal in the previous season that Elliot was in prison the whole time. The USA Network teased that things will get a lot more intense in the upcoming episode, as the FSociety starts breaking down. Darlene will have to deal with difficult decisions and will reportedly end up giving into an old temptation. The FSociety will also release a video, and Elliot will learn the upshots of a power vacuum.

"Mr. Robot" season 2, episode 8 airs on August 24, 9:00 p.m. on the USA Network.
