Motown Meets Southern Soul In CeCe Winans' New Single 'Lowly' Premiere
Check out Essence's premiere of ten-time Grammy-winner CeCe Winans' exuberant tune "Lowly" from the Motown meets Southern soul Let Them Fall In Love -- Winans' first album in nearly a decade -- out Feb. 3.
Essence calls "Lowly" "vibrant and uplifting, a song about wisdom and humility." Listen and share the track from the singer here.
Written and produced by Winans' son Alvin Love III, "Lowly" dances with robust piano and organ keys, accompanied by acoustic, electric and pedal steel guitar and soulful background vocals. This is just one of ten tracks on the album, which was co-produced by Winans' longtime collaborator Tommy Sims and engineered by Vance Powell.
CeCe's Austin City Limits taping will air on Sat., Feb. 4, followed by a performance during the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration, airing on BET Sun., Feb. 5. A 2017 tour will be announced in the coming weeks.
