Moto Z Android Nougat Update: Google Daydream Support Coming To Device
The Moto Z Android Nougat update rolls out any day now, but there's more to the development than just a software upgrade.
According to the report, the Moto Z Android Nougat update will also come with additional support for Google Daydream. That means, it would be the first smart phone to do so besides the Pixel and the Pixel XL.
This news was confirmed by Motorola itself, which claimed that virtual reality will become, well, a reality for their flagship by this week.
"Daydream offers an unprecedented opportunity to dive into a kaleidoscope of experiences," the blog post said. "With Daydream, you can explore new worlds, attend a sporting event or concert, enjoy your own personal cinema and so much more."
Of course, you need to buy a Google Daydream headset and controller before you can even begin to optimize your Moto Z for virtual reality play.
The Moto Z specs include a Super AMOLED display with 1440x2560 resolution or 535 pixels per inch. The device also has 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 2TB via microSD. It still runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor however.
Meanwhile, the Moto Z Play and the Moto X will supposedly be upgraded to Android Nougat before the end of 2016.
Owners can check if they are up for the Moto Z Android Nougat update by checking Settings, clicking on About Phone and then going to System updates. Or you can visit this website to know when your carrier will upgrade your software.
