With the reduced price of Moto X 2014, it is rumored that another iteration, the Moto X 2016, is set to arrive soon. Also, new details on the specifications of the device have been revealed, such as the Snapdragon 820 chipset.

According to Christian Times, the Moto X 2016 is set to hit the market soon, since Motorola has reduced the price of the device's 2014 predecessor.

Motorola is presently selling the Moto X 2014 for $149.99, Phone Dog has learned. As per the publication, the device is being sold with the promo code SPRINGISHERE, which is also applicable to both the 32GB and 64GB models. The current price of the Moto X is $50 lower than the $199.99 32GB and $100 lower than the $249.99 64GB variant.

In terms of speculations, the Moto X 2016 is rumored to carry the forthcoming Snapdragon 820 chipset, which is believed to give power to number of Motorola flagship devices, according to Neurogadget.

As per the publication, the Vertex variant of the device is set to have a lower lever Snapdragon 625 processor, which is capable of supporting 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. On the other hand, the Vector Thin variant is set to have either a 3GB or 4GB of RAM, with the same memory power of the former.

When it comes to camera and imaging, the Vertex is assumed to feature a 6MP rear camera, which is supportive to laser AF and PDAF. On the other hand, the Vector Thin is capable of capturing higher quality images, even in low light environment, with its 13MP camera with OIS, larger sensor, better aperture, and laser AF.

The Vertex variant is also set to stay online for a longer span of time with its 3500mAh battery, whereas the Vector Thin only receives a smaller 2600mAh battery. Both will take advantage of Qualcomm's Quick Charge mode, however.

Motorola is expected to unveil the Moto X on June 9 at the Tech World 2016 event.
