Moto X 2015 Specs, Release Date Rumors: Will Motorola Launch the New Handset in September?
Motorola is likely to launch its latest smartphone Moto X 2015 in the coming months, perhaps in September. An indication in this regard came from Motorola president Rick Osterloh recently when he exchanged tweets with the patrons and users of the tech firm to discuss the future plans of the company.
Christian Today reports that while conversing with one user regarding the Moto X lineup and the release date of the company's next Moto X smartphone, Osterloh disclosed that Motorola plans to "stay on a roughly annual cycle for all of our products, including the Moto X."
In other words, this is an indication that another new device, which many have dubbed as the Moto X 2015, is likely to be released sometime in August or September. The upcoming smartphone will succeed the second-generation Moto X (2014), which was unveiled in September 2014. The original Moto X was released a year back - in August 2013.
Some are of the view that this may also mean that the company will introduce the purported Moto X 2015 in August and will release the device in September. However, keeping this latest information in view, it is expected that very soon there will be lots of leaks and news regarding the device.
As of now, tech enthusiasts can expect the Moto X 2015 to be packed with a Snapdragon 810 processor, the latest chipset from Qualcomm, which is favored by manufacturers of several premium handsets. It is said that Motorola and Qualcomm have confirmed that an unnamed device manufactured by Motorola will be using a product from the Qualcomm. Until now, Motorola has not confirmed whether the purported device will be the third-generation Moto X. However, there are several reasons to suppose that it will be.
Nevertheless, fans of Motorola products will require being patient for a few more months to learn about the company's plans.
Meanwhile, during his conversation on Twitter, Osterloh also confirmed that the company is currently not working on a tablet.
