Moto G4 Play Amazon Price & News: Pre-Orders Now Available; Priced At $99?
The Moto G4 Play was listed in Amazon's promo where buyers can have the phone at a discount if they don't mind the locked ads.
As reported by Android Central, those interested can buy the phone at just $99, which is about $50 shy of the original price of the Moto G4 Play. Pre-orders are now available prior to the launch at the Amazon promo program on Sept. 15.
Of course, the users can also opt to buy the smartphone at the full price of $150 and not deal with the any of the ads at all.
Although the phone has just been launched in the US, it's not actually a new one. It's a rebranded, and improved, Moto G and has been released in Brazil and India and other developing markets.
The specs of the Moto G4 include 5-inch display screen with 1280x720 pixel resolution, with non-replaceable 2800mAh battery. It's powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 mated to 4x Cortex-A53 at 1.4GHz Adreno 306 GPU. The phone has 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage with expandable microSD. The main camera has a 8 MP with autofocus.
AnandTech said that the Moto G4 Play is touted to be the cheapest in the G4 lineup. The article said that the design is similar to the Moto G4, albeit with a few changes. The users can't access the battery, although they can open up the back to insert the microSD and the SIM. There's also a lack of variation in colors as the phone will come in only black and white.
