Moto 360 Watch Release Date, Specs: Features Are More Impressive than Expected

Good news has emerged for left handed techies as the Moto 360 will be functional on either wrist. Also, the straps on the round face device will be available in leather and metallic style as well.

Additionally, the face is rumored to be custom-made using OLED display. OLED saves power on your Moto 360 (which is a big advantage for a smartwatch) compared to LED which is commonly used in other devices. A black analog watch face is shown whenever apps are inactive or not in use, which saves power and seriously conserves battery usage.

Moto 360 is not locked to Motorola devices only, as presumed by many. The widely-anticipated smartwatch is actually compatible with the latest Android OS 4.3, Android 4.4 and even Android L which makes the UI applicable to Android-powered devices. It can connect through Bluetooth 4.0 so many expect it to be especially fast.

Although it's not waterproof, it can withstand 'light' splashes, but not prolonged exposure to water. Hassle-free charging is also a plus point for Moto 360 as it uses a wireless charging technology. The magnetic Qi induction technology lets you charge your Moto 360 without using USB-cable chargers. Also, Sapphire glass will be used instead of Gorilla glass, which is said to be four times stronger.

Coming down to the price, the Moto 360 is rumored with a retail price of $249.

We're now down to the price. Checking on the specs, Moto 360 is an innovation for a smartwatch and everybody considers the value for money here. Motorola hinted that the price of Moto 360 is at $249.

While there has yet to be an official announcement about its release date, reports say that the smartwatch is looking at a 2014 holiday season debut.
