Moto 360 New Update News: Android Wear Optimizations and Offers Security Updates
Motorola recently released a new Android OS version for the Moto 360 Android Wear, their latest innovative smartwatch.
Along with the numerous system optimizations and security updates the software will come with an updated version of Google Play services.
For the month of February, the Android Wear smartwatch will specifically come with "support for new features and fixes for some issues to improve user experience. According to the official website of Motorola, users updating to this new software version will not be able to downgrade," writes IBTimes.
The specific fixes the update will come with hasn't been disclosed.
The update will be released for all Motorola users in a mandatory upgrade. Here is the method required to install it according to IB Times:
1.Connect the Moto 360 Android Wear to a smartphone which is connected to the Internet. It is recommended to use Wi-Fi instead of mobile data for stable connection.
2. Battery level of Moto 360 must be greater than 80 per cent to avoid power interruption during installation.
3. A notification should arrive on the smartwatch once it is connected to the Internet via smartphone.
4. Select "Download" prompted by the notification.
5. Once the new software has been downloaded, select "Install Now" to begin the software update.
6. After the installation process, Moto 360 will restart automatically.
7. Upon reaching the main screen after the restart, Moto 360 should run the latest Android 5.0.2 Lollipop software with build version LWX49L.
