‘Mortal Kombat X’ Release Date News: NetherRealm Studio's Official Launch Trailer [VIDEO]

A 132 second official launch trailer was released for "Mortal Kombat X" on April 6th, which surely paved the way for the release of the game for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on April 14th.

For those that may not know, the game will also be released on the previous generation game consoles, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The trailer has revealed that the game will not only involve fighting but a lot of gore, which follows the tradition of Mortal Kombat. There are also the classic gory and brutal deaths from the original game.

This version of the game has been developed by NetherRealm, and it is the tenth installment in the Mortal Kombat video game franchise. "Mortal Kombat X" has been one of the most anticipated video games among followers of the franchise.

According to Master Herald "The fighting scenes, the blood and guts spilled, and the brutal fatalities are featured on the trailer accompanied by the metal rock gem 'Toxicity' by the rock band System of a Down.

It no longer came as a surprise that the System of a Down soundtrack was chosen since Shavo Odadjian, who belonged to the same rock group, directed the official launch trailer."

The improved graphics of the game have made the already violent game even more bloody and gruesome. Those players who pre-ordered the game will receive Goro as a bonus playable character.

Several other familiar faces from previous games will also be returning for Mortal Kombat X.
