'Mortal Kombat X' Release Date Rumors: Console Launch Date for Last-Gen Systems Pushed Back
A new report is claiming that Mortal Kombat X has been delayed again on last generation consoles.
According to the game's developer, Kotaku, Gamestop employees have been telling their costumers that the release of the game has been put off until the end of this year.
The retailer's website also shifted its release date in June to a placeholder at the year's end.
If this is true, it will be the second time that the gory fighter game has been delayed for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Earlier this year, it was delayed from an expected release in April to "summer", which was quite ambiguous.
Warner Bros has been asked to make a comment on the situation of the game's release, but have yet to make a statement on the topic.
Earlier this week, the creator of the series, Ed Boon announced that DLC fighter, Tanya, will be added to the list of Mortal Kombat X characters in June.
The first of the Kombat Pack's DLC characters, Jason Vorhees, has already been made available to players.
Other new characters expected to arrive to Mortal Kombat X, through the Kombat Pack include Predator and Tremor, both of who were in high demand from fans.
They will be coming soon to the game for fans to enjoy.
Those fans who own Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles will have to keep their fingers crossed and wait patiently, hoping that developer Kotaku and Warner Bros will be saving the best for last.
Hopefully this rumor is not more than that, and players can expect the game in June.
