'Mortal Kombat X' Release Date, Gameplay Footage: NetherRealm Studios Releases New Footage
NetherRealm Studios unveiled a clip showing over 30 minutes of 'Mortal Kombat X' gameplay during a recent live stream event. Apparently, the developers wanted to create hype around the upcoming fighting game before its launch, which is scheduled for April 2015.
The video demonstrated 'Mortal Kombat X' and the demo highlighted on the characters of the game. In fact, the demo did not mean to reveal all the aspects of the upcoming game, but wanted to offer the gamers a fair idea of what the game would look like if it were to be released right away.
The live stream did not make any announcement regarding any new character. It just showed the character variations, which depend on the fighter chosen by the gamer. In fact, each fighter in the game will come in three different variations and each variation will provide them with specific skills.
The live stream demonstrated all the three variations of Kotal Kahn. He comes in three different modes - Blood God, War God and Sun God. In his Blood God mode, Kotal Kahn displays his offensive as well as defensive skills. In his War God mode, he is armed with a big sword. As the Sun God, Kotal Kahn possesses more grappling skills, in addition to the ability to take his opponents' health away.
In addition to these character variations, the 30 minute 'Mortal Kombat X' demo boasted the gruesome fatalities included in the upcoming game. There is no doubt that these fatalities will come in great details and quite graphic. Gamers can only hope that the FCC does not edit them severely.
In terms of graphic, Mortal Kombat is wonderful and it shows heads being cut off, organs being removed from bodies and more such brutalities.
As of now, NetherRealm Studios has confirmed that the game will include Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Raiden, Kano and Quan Chi as playable characters.
