‘Mortal Kombat X’ Release Date, New Characters Trailer: Video Shows New Fighting Styles, Launches April 14
For quite some time, NetherRealm Studios have been boasting its upcoming fighting game 'Mortal Kombat X' on live Twitch streams. In the most recent Twitch events, two developers of the studio - a part of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, played two different matches with characters - Kitana and Reptile.
Latin Post reports that various fighter classic moves from earlier 'Mortal Kombat' games have been incorporated into 'Mortal Kombat X,' but Reptile's fatality is something completely new.
Recently, Game Rant has also posted two video clips showing Reptile fighting Kitana.
Reptile comes in three fighter variations - Deceptive, Nimble and Noxious, and those who have viewed the game discovered that the deceptive style of the character makes him invisible. Furthermore, Reptile's Nimble style makes him swift even as he slows down his opponent, while his Noxious style that makes him a poisonous cloud, which cannot be blocked.
The NetherRealm Studios developer who played as Reptile used his tongue to the best advantage while attacking. Reptile can capture Kitana, toss her up in the air, wobble her in with his tongue and subsequently punch her quite a few times before freeing her.
On the other hand, Kitana too possesses some really awesome moves, using her fans to her advantage. The video shows Kitana hitting Reptile a number of times using her fans and subsequently flings him very high into the air. She is also shown shooting a fan right in Reptile's neck and finally jumping jumps up and grabbing his head with both her hands and slamming it to the ground with face first. Although Reptile managed to endure this assault, he sustained 21 percent damage.
Recently, Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boom confirmed that they will not be holding a demo of 'Mortal Kombat X.' Gamers will, however, get a few more opportunities to watch the Twitch streams online.
As of now, 'Mortal Kombat X' is scheduled to be released on April 14. In the meantime, NetherRealm Studios is likely to make a lot of character announcements.
